Director of Payment Operations

Job Summary

Owning the strategy and operations for payment processing, the hybrid Senior Director of Payment Operations will manage relationships with payment vendors, oversee compliance and risk management, and lead a team to optimize payment systems and processes while supporting Cvent's global growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end relationship with Stripe and other payment partners, including contract negotiations and pricing structure
• Drive the development and execution of a multi-year payments roadmap aligned with product and international growth strategies
• Oversee compliance with PCI standards and regulatory requirements, ensuring robust fraud prevention and dispute management

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in payments, treasury, fintech, or payment operations, with leadership experience
• Direct experience managing a processor relationship, ideally with Stripe/Stripe Connect
• Deep knowledge of PCI-DSS and payments compliance frameworks
• Proven track record in negotiating vendor contracts and managing significant payments spend
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
