Director of PBM Contracting
Job Summary
Leading the drafting, negotiation, and management of pharmacy benefit management (PBM) agreements, the remote Director of PBM Contracting will collaborate with various stakeholders to structure commercial terms and oversee the entire contract lifecycle while ensuring alignment with client needs and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Lead negotiation and drafting of PBM services agreements, amendments, and statements of work
- Manage the full contract lifecycle, including redlines, tracked-changes review, and renewal negotiations
- Serve as a key point of contact for client-side legal and procurement teams throughout negotiations
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in contracting, commercial legal, or contract management roles, specifically with PBM or healthcare services agreements
- Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management tools and managing document workflows
- Strong knowledge of PBM economics and contract structures, including financial guarantees and pricing methodologies
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly
- Bachelor's degree required; JD, MBA, or other advanced degree is a plus
