Director of People Operations
Job Summary
Leading the transformation of People operations, the full-time remote Director of People Operations will manage the People systems ecosystem, ensure data integrity, oversee payroll governance, and redesign workflows through automation and AI.
Key responsibilities
- Own the People technology ecosystem and lead HRIS modernization, ensuring scalable workflows and data integrity
- Oversee payroll operations, establishing controls and accountability while managing the payroll team
- Enhance employee lifecycle processes and operational infrastructure, ensuring compliance and efficiency across onboarding and offboarding
Required qualifications
- 8-12+ years of experience in People Operations, HRIS, or payroll operations with senior ownership of complex environments
- Proven experience leading major HRIS implementations, preferably with Rippling or ADP Workforce Now
- Strong payroll fluency, including controls, audits, and multi-state considerations
- Experience in redesigning workflows through automation, AI, or technology
- Ability to partner effectively across Finance, IT, Legal, and senior leadership
