Director of Perception

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Perception.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 35+ perception engineers and scientists to develop software for self-driving cars
• Oversee planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects while providing technical leadership
• Collaborate with technical leadership in areas such as Planning, System Architecture, and Sensors

Required Qualifications

• Ph.D. or M.S. in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in multi-modal perception and vision development
• Expertise in implementing vision & perception algorithms on real-world systems
• Significant hands-on technical leadership and engineering management experience
• Knowledge of Linux and experience in robot, automotive, or aerospace fields
