Director of Philanthropy

Job Summary

To lead the next phase of fundraising strategy, the fully remote Director of Philanthropy will manage major gifts, planned giving, and donor engagement, aiming to increase philanthropic revenue from $2MM to $4MM by 2027 while supervising one direct report.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of major gift donors and develop individualized cultivation and solicitation strategies
• Lead planned giving efforts and identify prospects for long-term philanthropic support
• Engage Foundation Board members and physician leaders in fundraising activities to enhance donor participation

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive fundraising experience with a track record of securing major gifts
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience; CFRE credential preferred
• Experience in developing donor strategies and managing prospect pipelines
• Strong relationship-building skills, particularly with high-net-worth individuals and family foundations
• Proficiency with donor databases and CRM systems, preferably Salesforce
