Director of Physician Reimbursement

Job Summary

Recognized as an expert in physician reimbursement, the remote Director of Physician Reimbursement will manage in-depth analysis of billing practices, provide advisory support to clients and prospects, and develop thought leadership content while leveraging 8-10 years of experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the senior authority on physician billing and reimbursement, particularly in Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, and Pain Management
• Analyze collections reports and AR data to identify performance drivers and root causes of denials
• Monitor payer policy changes and develop educational content that reflects expertise in physician revenue cycle management

Required Qualifications

• 8-10 years of hands-on experience in physician billing and revenue cycle management
• Deep expertise in denial management, AR aging analysis, and collections reporting
• Direct experience with Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, and/or Pain Management billing
• Ability to clearly explain complex financial data to non-technical audiences
• Strong communication skills for representing expertise to practice leadership and physicians
