Director of Platform Architecture

Job Summary

As a visionary technical leader, the full-time Director of Platform Architecture will define and govern the architectural foundation that powers products and platforms, collaborating closely with engineering and product teams to translate strategic vision into actionable architectural patterns while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Defines and owns the enterprise platform architecture strategy, establishing technical vision and guiding principles for system design
• Champions an AI-first design philosophy, ensuring AI capabilities are integrated as core architectural concerns
• Leads architecture governance processes, providing oversight and structured feedback on significant new systems and integrations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
• Software Engineering experience in a Principal, Staff, or Architect-level role with organization-wide technical influence
• Demonstrated experience in defining and governing enterprise platform architecture, including back-end services and cloud-native infrastructure
• Deep expertise in .NET / C# and AWS architecture patterns, including Lambda and event-driven messaging
• Strong track record of embedding AI capabilities into platform architecture and leading architecture governance processes
