Director of Platform Engineering

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Software Engineering (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Own the architecture, roadmap, and delivery of platform's shared services
• Serve as the primary engineering point of contact for product teams and manage cross-product integration
• Lead two engineering teams, overseeing sprint planning, delivery cadence, and team mentorship

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering with significant experience in platform, services, or API-layer architecture
• Proven experience in leading engineering teams and managing complex stakeholder relationships
• Strong background in CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and AWS operational excellence
• Experience with security and compliance requirements, particularly for government customers
• Ability to modernize technology stacks and implement event-driven architectures
