Director of Platform Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a cross-platform team, the full-time remote Director of Platform Engineering will own the architecture of developer experience, tooling standards, and deployment pipelines while driving the transition to AI-native software development.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the developer experience, including tooling standards and deployment pipelines
• Build and lead the Platform Engineering team, fostering a culture of reliability and automation
• Establish and maintain reliability standards, including uptime SLOs and incident response protocols

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in platform engineering or DevOps leadership roles
• Demonstrated experience building or scaling a platform engineering function
• Strong command of cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, and CI/CD practices
• Hands-on experience with observability tooling such as DataDog or CloudWatch
• Proven track record of leading and developing engineering teams
