Director of Platform Engineering
Job Summary
Reporting to the SVP of Engineering, the full-time remote Director of Platform Engineering will centralize and enhance DevOps, SRE, database reliability, incident management, and developer experience practices, ensuring operational maturity and platform reliability across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Centralizes CI/CD and deployment practices, directly contributing to automation and deployment improvements
- Establishes SLOs/SLIs and monitoring standards, partnering with development teams for consistent instrumentation
- Designs incident management processes and on-call tooling, enforcing RCA and post-incident review practices across teams
Required Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD and deployment-pipeline modernization at scale
- Formal SRE practice knowledge, including SLOs and incident management
- Proven design of on-call and incident-management programs
- Database reliability experience for high-traffic production databases
- Ability to communicate operational maturity and risk in business terms to executive leadership
