Director of Platform Engineering
Job Summary
Leading a cross-functional team, the full-time remote Director of Platform Engineering will oversee the architecture, operations, and scalability of the enterprise Data Lakehouse platform, ensuring it supports analytics and data-driven capabilities.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and grow a cross-functional team of engineers, architects, and data professionals
- Partner with business units to identify data platform requirements and translate them into platform capabilities
- Own platform SLAs, uptime, cost management, and quality standards
Required qualifications
- 12+ years in data engineering, architecture, or platform leadership roles
- 5+ years in a director or senior leadership position managing large technical teams
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake)
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern data stack
- MBA or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred
