Director of Platform Management

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Platform & Cluster Management.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and drive the vision for platform and cluster management in alignment with product strategy
• Provide career development and mentorship to managers and senior engineers while scaling the organization
• Ensure end-to-end delivery of features and oversee integration between platform and cluster management entry points

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading multiple engineering teams or organizations, ideally at the Director level or at least 12+ years of experience
• Strong technical background in distributed systems, platform engineering, storage, or cluster management
• Demonstrated success in managing managers and scaling engineering organizations
• Experience with software deployment, hardware lifecycle management, monitoring, or orchestration systems
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills; able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
