Job Summary
Leading the preconstruction function for a portfolio of renewable energy projects, the full-time Director of Preconstruction will manage team development, oversee project execution readiness, and ensure alignment across various stakeholders in a remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Preconstruction Managers, establishing expectations and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration
- Own a defined preconstruction portfolio, maintaining project prioritization, reporting standards, and operational controls to ensure consistent execution
- Serve as a senior point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, aligning teams around project execution and managing communication protocols
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in renewable energy preconstruction, project delivery, or related infrastructure leadership roles
- 3+ years of people leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams with accountability for performance outcomes
- Advanced understanding of solar PV and/or BESS project delivery, including permitting, procurement, and execution transition
- Experience with EPC contracting, procurement strategy, and project execution planning
- Strong analytical, commercial, and financial management capabilities
