Director of Priority Based Budgeting

Job Summary

Leading strategic initiatives in Priority Based Budgeting, the full-time salaried Director of Priority Based Budgeting will guide government clients through data interpretation and decision-making processes, ensuring effective engagement with executive sponsors and delivering actionable insights while overseeing implementation phases and quality governance.

Key responsibilities:

• Serve as the senior relationship holder with clients, ensuring executive-facing materials are approved and client satisfaction is maintained
• Lead the review and validation of data, analytics, and budget scenarios, facilitating executive-level discussions and decisions
• Supervise the development of implementation playbooks and process improvements based on engagement patterns

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
• Extensive experience in local government finance, budgeting, or public-sector advisory, with direct experience presenting to executives
• Demonstrated facilitation skills in politically sensitive settings, capable of driving decisions among senior stakeholders
• Strong analytical fluency and comfort with AI-supported delivery methods
• Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear briefs and summaries
