Job Summary
To lead the end-to-end procurement function for the third-party business, the remote Director of Procurement and Merchandising will manage inventory planning, category management, and vendor strategy while developing a comprehensive team and defining long-term strategies for growth.
Key responsibilities
- Own the strategy and financial performance of the 3P procurement organization, including sourcing, purchase order management, and supply chain execution
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, setting clear expectations and creating a succession pipeline
- Define vendor management strategies, including partner selection, negotiation frameworks, and performance management
Required qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in procurement, category management, or wholesale merchandising, with at least 3 years in leadership roles
- Demonstrated success in managing P&L-relevant KPIs and vendor relationships in the food industry
- Bachelor's Degree required; advanced degree (MBA) or supply chain certifications preferred
- Strong understanding of financial principles and proficiency with ERP systems
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and familiarity with demand forecasting tools
