Director of Product Design

Job Summary

Leading a team of product designers, the full-time remote Director of Product Design will manage hiring, performance, and career growth while partnering with the VP of Design to shape design strategy and enhance product quality in an AI-driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of product designers across multiple product pods, focusing on hiring and performance management
• Collaborate with the VP of Design on design strategy and organizational design to scale the design function effectively
• Establish clear project conditions for designers, aligning stakeholders and managing cross-functional dependencies

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of product design experience, including 3-5 years in a management role
• Strong portfolio showcasing design leadership in complex product environments with measurable impact
• Proven ability to develop designers and intentionally build team culture
• Experience collaborating with Product and Engineering leadership as a strategic partner
• Genuine fluency with AI's impact on design and experience in designing AI-driven products
