Director of Product Design

Job Summary

Leading the design and user experience for the Registry platform, the full-time salaried Director of Product Design will be responsible for setting the vision, managing a team of designers, and driving AI-native product development while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in a remote-first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end Registry experience, ensuring high-quality user flows and brand expression across the Babylist ecosystem
• Lead design strategy by connecting vision to company goals, setting a roadmap for the Registry experience over the next 12-18 months
• Build and nurture a high-performing design team, focusing on hiring, developing, and retaining talented designers while fostering a growth-oriented environment

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in product design with a strong portfolio showcasing consumer product work across web and mobile
• Expertise in AI-native design practices and tools, with hands-on experience in prototyping and product development
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and experience conducting generative and evaluative research
• Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire design teams, with a focus on performance management and team development
• Experience in strategic visioning and systems thinking, connecting design initiatives to broader business objectives
