Director of Product Design

Job Summary

Seeking a strategic and hands-on Director of Product Design in a full-time remote capacity, this role will own the end-to-end experience of the Registry, driving UX vision, quality standards, and product excellence while leading a team of designers and collaborating closely with cross-functional partners.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Registry experience by ensuring cohesive user flows and high-quality outcomes across the Babylist ecosystem
• Lead design strategy that aligns with company goals, setting a vision for the Registry's future and defining the sequence of development bets
• Build and mentor a high-performing design team, fostering a growth-oriented environment and managing performance effectively

Required qualifications

• Proven experience in product design with a strong portfolio demonstrating consumer product work across web and mobile
• Expertise in leveraging AI tools for design and prototyping, with a hands-on approach to product development
• Strong background in user research methodologies to inform design decisions with actionable insights
• Experience in leading and developing design teams, with a focus on performance management and team dynamics
• Ability to think strategically and operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
