Director of Product Design

Job Summary

Leading the product design vision for A+E's streaming experiences, the full-time Director of Product Design will manage high-impact design initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and mentor designers while working in a flexible hybrid or remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead complex product design efforts through collaboration with UX, Product, and Engineering teams, ensuring alignment with user research and business goals
• Produce high-quality, development-ready UI designs in Figma, incorporating feedback and accessibility best practices
• Provide people leadership for the Product Design team, focusing on performance management, coaching, and career development

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in Product Design, UX/UI, or related fields, with a focus on consumer-facing digital products
• 5+ years of people management experience or demonstrated leadership in design initiatives
• Bachelor's degree in design or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
• Deep hands-on experience with complex digital product design across web and native mobile platforms
• Proven ability to operate within agile product teams throughout the full product development lifecycle
