Director of Product Design
Job Summary
To elevate design as a strategic capability, the fully remote Director of Product Design will shape long-term design strategy, mentor a growing team, and lead the end-to-end design process for user-centered experiences across product lines.
Key responsibilities
- Define and champion a cohesive design vision, partnering with leadership to translate business goals into design principles
- Lead end-to-end design for key product surfaces, from user research to high-fidelity specifications ready for engineering handoff
- Mentor and coach designers, building a strong design culture and operational foundations within the team
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of product design/UX/UI experience, with at least 3 years in a strategic or leadership role
- Proven experience in building or scaling a design practice, establishing processes, and elevating team maturity
- Strong portfolio showcasing systems thinking and refined design craft
- Experience leading design in a distributed, multi-timezone organization
- Working knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design practices
