Director of Product Design

Job Summary

Leading the design for Ethos's core business, the full-time remote Director of Product Design will manage the end-to-end customer journey from landing page to policy activation, ensuring intuitive and emotionally resonant user experiences while mentoring a small team of product designers.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead design for the core conversion funnel, including landing experiences, application flows, and policy management
• Mentor and grow a team of product designers while collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Research, and Brand
• Enhance design practices across systems, accessibility, and storytelling, contributing to a culture of excellence and growth

Required qualifications:

• 10+ years of product design (UX) experience, with several years in leadership roles managing design teams
• Proven ability to design complex, decision-heavy user journeys in B2C industries such as fintech, healthtech, or insurtech
• Strong understanding of conversion optimization and user behavior design principles
• Experience simplifying complex information into elegant, actionable flows
• A portfolio showcasing strong visual and interaction design, along with impactful storytelling
