Director of Product Design

Job Summary

To support a growing design team, the full-time remote Director of Product Design will lead and develop product designers across multiple product pods, partner with the VP of Design on strategy, and create optimal conditions for high-quality design work.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of product designers, overseeing hiring, performance, and career growth
• Collaborate with the VP of Design on design strategy and organizational design to scale the design function
• Establish design standards and practices while acting as a strategic partner to senior Product and Engineering leaders

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of product design experience, with 3-5 years in a management role
• Strong portfolio showcasing design leadership in complex, multi-surface product environments
• Proven ability to develop designers and intentionally build team culture
• Experience influencing product strategy through close collaboration with Product and Engineering leadership
• Genuine fluency with AI's impact on design processes and products
