Director of Product Engineering

Job Summary

Leading a dynamic product engineering team, the full-time Director of Product Engineering will focus on enhancing team performance, driving architectural direction, and operationalizing AI across the software delivery lifecycle in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coach and mentor engineers, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability while maintaining team alignment and motivation
• Evaluate and refine engineering processes, driving continuous improvement in planning, shipping, and delivery practices
• Set architectural direction and governance for AI-assisted systems, ensuring sound decision-making and prioritization of technical debt

Required qualifications

• 10+ years in software engineering, with at least 6 years in engineering leadership roles
• Proven experience in scaling delivery across multiple workstreams through leadership of other engineers
• Strong track record in managing the full people-leadership cycle, including hiring and performance management
• Experience operationalizing AI across an SDLC with defined quality standards
• Ability to engage in architectural discussions and technical trade-offs without being a hands-on developer
