Director of Product Management

Job Summary

To support a growing platform for modern homeownership, the full-time remote Director of Product Management will oversee the development of the policy platform and customer portal, driving product strategy and managing a team of product managers to enhance customer experiences and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the multi-year product strategy for Kin's policy platform and customer experience, translating long-term business goals into a clear, sequenced roadmap
• Lead, develop, and hire a team of product managers, raising the bar on craft, analytical rigor, and cross-functional collaboration
• Partner with engineering to develop the platform's API strategy and configuration model, ensuring efficient product launches and regulatory compliance

Required qualifications

• 12+ years of professional experience, with at least 8 years in software product management and 3 years managing PM teams
• Proven ownership of both platform/infrastructure products and consumer-facing products
• Experience with platform modernization or re-platforming at scale
• Technical fluency to contribute to architecture and data model discussions
• Experience in Fintech, Insurtech, or financial services with a focus on pricing logic and regulatory constraints
