Director of Product Management

Job Summary

Leading a team of product managers, the full-time remote Director of Product Management will own the vision and strategy for supply chain security, focusing on unifying GitHub's security capabilities and driving product initiatives that enhance customer trust in software.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritize customer needs by engaging with enterprise security teams and analyzing usage data to inform product decisions
• Define the multi-year strategy for supply chain security and carry direct product ownership of key segment challenges
• Lead and develop a team of product managers, partnering closely with engineering and design leadership to ensure successful delivery

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management, software development, or related fields, or a Bachelor's Degree in a related field with 6+ years of experience
• 2+ years of expertise in developer tools, platforms, or security products, translating developer requirements into actionable features
• 3+ years of people management experience, demonstrating the ability to lead and develop product managers
• Experience owning a product area end-to-end as an individual contributor
