Director of Professional Studies

Job Summary

To lead and oversee program areas including English, Business, Early Childhood Education, and Legal Studies, the full-time remote Director of Professional Studies will manage academic leadership, program quality, and faculty oversight while driving continuous improvement in curriculum and learner outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and operational oversight for the Professional Studies portfolio
• Oversee curriculum design and instructional quality across all programs, ensuring academic rigor and industry alignment
• Lead, mentor, and develop faculty and academic staff, establishing performance expectations and fostering a collaborative culture

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant discipline required; PhD or EdD preferred
• 5+ years of leadership experience in online or distance education
• Proven experience managing academic programs and faculty teams
• Strong understanding of online pedagogy and instructional best practices
• Experience with career-focused or workforce-aligned education programs preferred
