Job Summary
Leading the health plan provider network contracting activities, the full-time Director of Provider Contracts will manage negotiations for complex contracts, develop provider contracting strategies, and oversee daily operations, all while working remotely from Idaho.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the provider contracting function and collaborate with operational departments to support various contracting activities
- Negotiate contracts with complex provider communities to ensure high-quality, cost-effective provider networks
- Develop and implement provider contracting strategies, including value-based payment models, to meet organizational goals
Required qualifications
- At least 8 years of experience in network contracting with large specialty or multispecialty provider groups
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in provider contract negotiations within a managed health care setting
- At least 3 years of management or leadership experience
- Experience with various managed health care provider compensation methodologies, especially in Medicaid and Medicare
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments
