Job Summary

To advance the role of psychology in healthcare, the full-time remote Director of Regulatory Affairs will manage regulatory analysis, advocate for policy changes, and collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance the visibility and reimbursement of psychologists within federal and state systems.

Key responsibilities
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on federal and state regulations affecting psychological practice and reimbursement
  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of insurance regulations and develop strategies to respond to agency rules
  • Communicate effectively with APA members and external stakeholders, providing guidance on regulatory and health policy matters
Required qualifications
  • Master's degree in a health-related field; J.D. preferred
  • At least 8 years of experience in federal regulatory analysis and health policy
  • Demonstrated expertise in federal and state healthcare systems and regulations
  • Strong advocacy skills and prior experience in lobbying at federal or state levels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual communication tools
