Director of Regulatory Compliance

Job Summary

Leading a team of regulatory experts, the full-time Director of Regulatory Compliance will oversee compliance with behavioral health regulations, manage cross-functional collaboration, and ensure clarity in regulatory guidance while working onsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the regulatory authority, maintaining knowledge of federal and state regulations and ensuring compliance across various levels of care
• Communicate complex regulatory requirements clearly to internal teams and external clients, providing actionable guidance
• Lead and develop a team of regulatory subject matter experts, setting quality standards and managing performance

Required Qualifications

• Advanced degree in clinical, medical, public health, health administration, or law
• Eight or more years of experience in behavioral health compliance, quality, or regulatory affairs within provider operations
• At least three years of management experience with a focus on developing team knowledge
• Deep understanding of state licensure and federal regulations, including The Joint Commission and CARF standards
• Experience with survey processes, including preparation and remediation
