Director of Research

Job Summary

To advance the discovery portfolio from candidate selection into first-in-human studies, the full-time salaried Director of Research will support strategic and operational management of research activities, focusing on pharmacology while collaborating with multiple functions within the company.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support a team of internal individuals and external vendors to enhance research operations
• Set scientific vision and operational strategy for pharmacology, ensuring robust data packages for pipeline progression
• Provide end-to-end operational leadership for in vivo studies, including experimental design, CRO selection, and data interpretation

Required qualifications

• PhD in a scientific or healthcare discipline
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry with a focus on oncology drug discovery and development
• Solid understanding of drug discovery and clinical development inter-dependencies, including pharmacology and toxicology
• Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships with key stakeholders across the company
