Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Research and Software Engineering for Life Sciences.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical owner of MVPs and experimental products from concept through delivery
• Design and implement scalable prototypes focusing on velocity, quality, and flexibility
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers while establishing best practices for innovation and rapid iteration

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as a software engineer
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering leadership managing cross-functional teams
• Strong architecture and coding skills across the stack (backend, frontend, cloud)
• Experience in building and iterating on products quickly, ideally in a startup or innovation lab environment
• Experience leading small, cross-functional teams
