Director of Research Facilities

Job Summary

Providing strategic and administrative leadership, the full-time salaried Director of Research Facilities will oversee research space management, facilities planning, and operations in a hybrid onsite/remote environment to support the mission of the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and governance of research space across the research enterprise
• Oversee the planning, design, construction, and renovation of research facilities and infrastructure projects
• Develop and implement research space policies and metrics to support data-driven decision-making

Required qualifications

• PhD in Natural sciences or related field, or a master's degree with significant leadership experience in research operations
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in management of research operations or facilities in an academic medical center
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience with demonstrated role expansion over time
• Experience in capital and operational project management within research facilities
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance and infrastructure planning in research environments
