Job Summary

Leading the design and implementation of research governance and operational infrastructure, the full-time Director of Research Governance will oversee system-wide research initiatives remotely, ensuring alignment between institutional priorities and regulatory requirements while managing cross-functional projects and providing strategic analyses to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain Health System-wide research governance frameworks in collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate risks
  • Translate institutional research strategy into actionable programs, policies, and operational processes across the Research Enterprise
  • Provide guidance on feasibility, compliance, and data use considerations for research proposals and institutional priorities
Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS) from an accredited four-year college or university; MBA, MPH, or other advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in healthcare management and/or research operations
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives in a large academic medical center or health system
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks applicable to human subjects research and healthcare environments
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations
