Director of Revenue Accounting

Job Summary

Leading the revenue accounting function, the full-time Director of Revenue Accounting will oversee end-to-end revenue recognition processes, establish internal controls, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, while working remotely with occasional travel requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, enforce, and improve accounting policies and internal controls for compliance with GAAP in revenue recognition
• Build and maintain financial models for allowances and collections, ensuring monthly reconciliation with financials
• Develop cross-functional partnerships to drive revenue analytics and system improvements while managing audit requests from external auditors

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3-4 years in a healthcare or dental revenue cycle environment
• Experience with fee schedules, UCR rates, and revenue cycle management processes
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with data tools like Power BI or Tableau
• Proven ability to manage projects and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
