Director of Revenue Cycle Operations

Job Summary

To support specialty practice partnerships within the growing Optum Specialty Practice group, the full-time salaried Director of Revenue Cycle Operations will manage KPI metrics, recommend process improvements, and assist with technology integration while collaborating with local leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with practice leadership to achieve KPI metrics and meet quality standards
• Act as a strategic business partner to identify performance improvement opportunities in Revenue Cycle Operations
• Review and analyze financial data to monitor progress toward established goals

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; undergraduate or graduate degree in business, healthcare, or a related field preferred
• At least 8 years of Revenue Cycle experience and 5 years of management experience
• Experience working with large single or multi-specialty physician groups/practices
• Understanding of the technical aspects of the revenue cycle in the healthcare or ambulatory surgery center industry
• Proven track record of developing successful relationships with physicians and superior knowledge of medical terminology and health insurance billing
