Director of Revenue Recognition

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Revenue Recognition to lead their global revenue accounting function.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary authority on ASC 606, drafting and maintaining revenue recognition policies and technical memos
• Oversee the configuration and optimization of NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management, ensuring accurate revenue arrangements and schedules
• Collaborate with Sales, Legal, and Sales Operations on contract reviews and deal structuring to optimize revenue outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Comprehensive understanding of ASC 606 and the five-step model for revenue recognition in the SaaS industry
• Direct experience managing and/or auditing revenue within the NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management module
• 8-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 4 years in a high-growth SaaS environment
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA license is highly preferred
• Ability to translate complex accounting standards into actionable business processes
