Director of Risk Management

Job Summary

Leading a team of data scientists and analysts, the full-time salaried Director of Risk Management will oversee fraud and credit risk portfolio management, focusing on performance monitoring, financial loss forecasting, and the development of risk management strategies in a remote-eligible role.

Key responsibilities:

• Own fraud and credit risk portfolio management, including performance monitoring and KPI tracking for senior leadership
• Lead financial loss forecasting and risk-adjusted return analysis to support growth enablement
• Design and implement solutions for customer acquisition and monitoring, including governance structures and decision management frameworks

Required qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in credit risk, fraud risk, or portfolio analytics within financial services or fintech
• 6+ years of people leadership experience, with a track record of building analytics or data science teams
• Strong data science and quantitative analysis skills, including experience with predictive modeling and ML/AI strategies
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or SAS, with the ability to coach team members on analytical techniques
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership
