Director of Risk Strategy

Job Summary

Partnering closely with the Chief Risk Officer, the full-time Director of Risk Strategy will define organizational strategy and execution plans across the Risk organization, focusing on Fraud, Credit, Collections, and Operational Risk in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define long-term strategy and execution plans for the Risk organization, ensuring alignment and focus on high-impact initiatives
• Lead strategic initiatives that involve collaboration across various departments, including Product, Engineering, and Finance
• Prepare executive communications and strategic planning documents that clearly convey the Risk organization's priorities and impact

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in strategy, business operations, or risk strategy within FinTech or financial services
• Strong understanding of financial services risk, including experience with Fraud, Credit, and Operational Risk
• Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity
• Proven experience working with senior executives on strategic planning and cross-functional initiatives
• Comfortable using data and analytical tools to inform strategic decisions
