Director of Robotics Research

Job Summary

Leading a team of Robotics Researchers, the full-time Director of Robotics Research will define and execute research strategies for robotics data and embodied AI, while building scalable data pipelines and fostering a culture of scientific rigor in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the research strategy for robotics data and robot learning
• Lead research initiatives focused on robotics datasets and multimodal representations
• Build and mentor a team of Robotics Researchers, promoting rapid experimentation

Required qualifications

• Significant experience in robotics research or robotics software engineering
• Experience leading or mentoring high-performing technical teams
• Deep understanding of robotics data pipelines and data infrastructure for robot learning
• Strong expertise in robot perception, manipulation, and reinforcement learning
• Ability to bridge research and engineering, translating ideas into scalable systems
