Job Summary
Leading strategic initiatives, the full-time salaried Director of Rural Health Initiatives will drive operational execution and project management for rural health programs while collaborating with alumni and external partners to enhance community health initiatives in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Drive operational ownership and project roadmaps for KCOM's rural health portfolio, including clerkship and residency pipeline expansion
- Partner with University Advancement to engage alumni networks, secure clinical training sites, and develop mentorship opportunities for osteopathic medical students
- Lead grant strategy efforts to develop competitive proposals and secure funding for rural health priorities
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Public Policy, Business Administration, Social Sciences, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- 3 to 5 years of experience in strategic project management, healthcare administration, public health leadership, or policy analysis
- Advanced understanding of healthcare operations, rural care delivery systems, and health policy advocacy
- Expertise in grant development and health policy tracking
- Proven experience in managing multi-phase project roadmaps and collaborating across institutional units
