Job Summary
Leading the applied science and technology advocacy portfolio, the full-time remote Senior Director of Science and Technology Policy will provide strategic direction and oversight to advance evidence-informed federal policy on issues related to human-technology interaction, workplace well-being, and the future of work.
Key responsibilities
- Lead federal advocacy and policy analysis on priority science and technology issues, particularly focusing on AI governance and workplace mental health
- Shape policy positions regarding the impacts of AI on workforce practices, job quality, and responsible data governance
- Build and maintain relationships with congressional and executive branch stakeholders, industry partners, and coalitions to promote evidence-informed policy initiatives
Required qualifications
- A master's degree or higher in a relevant field, with a preference for a doctoral degree
- 10 or more years of experience in legislative and regulatory processes, advocacy campaigns, and lobbying
- Demonstrated expertise in science and emerging technology policy, particularly related to AI and workplace well-being
- Experience drafting advocacy materials and working with diverse stakeholders, including employers and industry associations
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office and advocacy platforms, along with basic knowledge of social media and frontier AI applications
