Director of Security

Job Summary

Leading a growing security team, the full-time Director of Security will manage and mentor security professionals, define and evolve security strategies, and integrate security into engineering workflows while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Directly manage and mentor the security team, including senior security roles
• Build and mature a comprehensive security program aligned with business goals
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to embed security into system designs and CI/CD pipelines

Required qualifications

• Proven experience leading security teams in highly-regulated, growth-stage businesses
• Familiarity with public company environments and their requirements
• Strong understanding of cloud-native security principles and IAM controls
• Experience with frameworks and regulations such as NIST, CIS, SOX, and SOC2
• Knowledge of DevSecOps practices and infrastructure-as-code tools
