Director of Security Architecture

Job Summary

Leading the strategy and delivery of enterprise security architecture and engineering, the full-time remote Director of Security Architecture will manage security initiatives, enhance application and AI security, and drive automation to modernize the security program across various environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and lead the vision, strategy, and operating model for security architecture and engineering aligned with business priorities and regulatory expectations
• Establish enterprise security architecture standards and design review processes to improve consistency and reduce risk for technology teams
• Drive application and product security maturity across the software development lifecycle, ensuring secure design and effective vulnerability remediation practices

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity with significant leadership in security architecture and engineering
• Strong background in enterprise security architecture and scalable security patterns for hybrid, cloud, and regulated environments
• Practical experience in leading security engineering functions, including cloud security and automation
• Experience building application and product security programs, including secure SDLC practices and threat modeling
• Familiarity with AI security, data protection, and governance related to AI-generated risks
