Director of Security Engineering

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Security Engineering to lead the architecture, development, and optimization of managed security platforms and automation capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Security Engineering team focused on SIEM, EDR, and automation technologies
• Own the architecture, deployment, and management of single and multi-tenant SIEM environments
• Drive automation initiatives across detection, enrichment, and response workflows

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with 5+ years in leadership roles within MSSP or MDR contexts
• Deep expertise in SIEM architecture and deployment across multiple platforms
• Experience in building or optimizing multi-tenant SIEM environments
• Strong understanding of detection engineering principles and log source onboarding
• Familiarity with automation, scripting, and API integrations
