Director of Security Operations

Job Summary

Leading the operational backbone of the security program, the full-time salaried Director of Security Operations will provide oversight and guidance for the Threat Response and Security Infrastructure teams, ensuring effective incident response and management of security tooling in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own enterprise-wide security incident response, ensuring effective detection, triage, and remediation of incidents across various environments
• Manage the security and IT tooling portfolio, driving standardization and operational excellence across tool administration and vendor relationships
• Build and maintain operational metrics and dashboards to provide visibility into incident trends and infrastructure posture to leadership

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred
• 10+ years in information security, with 5+ years in leadership roles managing security operations or incident response teams
• Hands-on incident response experience with a proven track record of leading significant security events
• Experience in regulated data environments such as healthcare, with familiarity in compliance frameworks like PCI DSS and HIPAA
• One or more relevant certifications preferred, such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC
