Director of Security Operations

Job Summary

Leading a high-performing team remotely, the full-time Director of Security Operations will oversee security monitoring, incident response, and operational strategy while collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance cybersecurity services.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and mentor SOC analysts and detection engineers to ensure effective security operations
• Define and implement the security operations strategy, including operating standards and service models
• Coordinate major security incidents and manage communication with customers and executives during response efforts

Required qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in cybersecurity or related fields, with 5+ years in leadership roles
• Deep understanding of SOC operations and incident response processes
• Proven experience leading complex security incidents and coordinating responses
• Strong knowledge of detection engineering practices and cyber threat intelligence integration
• Experience establishing SOC operating procedures and quality standards
