Director of SEO and AEO

Job Summary

Leading the search optimization strategy, the full-time remote Director of SEO and AEO will manage a talented team, establish organizational infrastructure, and drive alignment with stakeholders to enhance search visibility and performance across all web surfaces.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the SEO and AEO strategy aligned with business priorities and content discovery opportunities
• Build technical and operational infrastructure for SEO/AEO validation within the content production workflow
• Lead and develop a high-performing SEO/AEO team, setting clear goals and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of professional SEO/search marketing experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role
• Proven track record in building and scaling SEO functions with measurable business impact
• Deep understanding of SEO fundamentals and emerging AEO/LLM optimization challenges
• Experience designing SEO workflows and integrating marketing technology
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive organizational alignment
