Director of Software Engineering

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Director of Software Engineering (Real-Time, Scalable Cloud Services).

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop scalable, real-time cloud services that handle millions of requests per second
• Continuously optimize system performance and ensure high availability and reliability of cloud services
• Lead and mentor engineering teams while implementing best practices for distributed systems and cloud infrastructure

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering focused on real-time, low-latency cloud services
• Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin, Python, and Javascript/Typescript/React; Go or Rust experience is a plus
• Deep understanding of real-time systems architecture and large-scale distributed systems
• Strong background in cloud infrastructure, preferably Digital Ocean, with experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Proficiency in Linux system operations and experience with monitoring and logging tools
