Director of Software Engineering

Job Summary

Leading and scaling engineering teams, the full-time salaried Director of Software Engineering will drive engineering strategy, execution, and culture while managing the end-to-end software development lifecycle in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing organization of software engineers across multiple teams
• Own the maturation of engineering practices by establishing meaningful metrics and improving processes to enhance delivery velocity
• Champion AI-driven software development practices and drive the adoption of AI-assisted development tooling

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
• 10+ years of progressive software engineering experience, including 5+ years in engineering leadership roles
• Proven track record of leading teams of 10+ engineers in a SaaS or cloud-native product environment
• Strong technical background with hands-on experience in modern software development and cloud platforms
• Experience managing and developing engineering managers, including performance management and career pathing
