Director of Software Engineering

Job Summary

Leading the strategic direction of software engineering, the full-time remote Director of Software Engineering will oversee multiple teams responsible for enterprise applications, system integrations, and technology modernization while ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Build and lead high-performing software engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability
• Develop and execute the enterprise software engineering strategy, governing architecture and technology standards
• Establish and improve software delivery practices, focusing on operational excellence and Agile methodologies

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (Master's preferred)
• 12+ years of progressive software engineering leadership experience with 5+ years leading multiple development teams
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale software platforms and strong knowledge of cloud-native architectures
• Experience with DevSecOps, CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, and enterprise integration
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and secure software development practices
